My background includes broad scientific and engineering experience, especially relating to planetary science (with an emphasis on surface/atmosphere interactions on Titan, Venus and Mars), and doing science from small spacecraft and innovative sensor platforms such as probes, landers, balloons, penetrators, and boats. I have been involved in the life cycle of flight investigations including concept formulation, mission and system design, science planning, observation design, instrument development, data analysis, and publication of results. My experience includes radar remote sensing, in-situ instrumentation, geomorphology, meteorology, oceanography, vehicle dynamics and trajectory measurements, and astrobiology.   I am the Dragonfly Mission Architect. I have authored popular was well as technical publications ranging from brief articles and papers to book-length works. My field experiments focus on desert areas. My books include "Dune Worlds: How Wind-Blown Sand Shapes Planetary Landscapes" (Springer, 2014),  "Space Systems Failures" (Springer 2006),  "Titan Unveiled" (Princeton, 2008), and "Exploring Planetary Climate" (CUP, 2019).
