2009 2020 Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. Supervisor of mechanical design section. Supervise up to 13 designers including holding coaching sessions, matching design skills with incoming design tasks and interviewing prospective new staff. Perform the normal duties of a lead mechanical designer listed below.
2002 2009 Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. Lead design engineer Dragonfly. In charge of overall configuration of lander and packaging lander within aero shell. Developed concept prior to Phase A and refined the design during Phase A and Phase B. Lead design engineer Solar Probe Plus. In charge of overall spacecraft mechanical configuration. Develop multiple, possible solutions for liquid cooled solar arrays, high gain antenna and spacecraft structure in support of flight program.
