2018 Current Ground Applications Group's Chief Engineer (JHU/APL) The Chief Engineer collaborates with the group office, staff members, and program stakeholders to maintain the group’s strategic vision and technology roadmap; coordinate research and development efforts, and maintain a high standard of engineering quality across the group’s mission portfolio.
2017 2020 Europa Clipper Ground Data System Architect (JHU/APL) Jointly architected the Ground Data System for the Europa Clipper mission with the Jet Propulsion Lab (JPL). Supported Ground Data System Lead with trade studies, documentation generation, network architecture, dual Mission Support Area architecture, etc. Managed effort, including working group, to author 250 page Flight-Ground ICD. Supported the development and analysis of 20+ CCSDS File Delivery Protocol (CFDP) Use Cases.
2016 2020 DART Ground Data System Lead & Ground Software Lead (JHU/APL) Managed the architecture and development of the ground data system, including subsystem budget, schedule, requirements, ICDs and design during Phase B and C.
2008 2013 RBSP Ground Software Lead (JHU/APL) Managed the architecture and development of the ground software, including subsystem budget, schedule, requirements, ICDs and design during Phase B, C, D and into Phase E (post-launch maintenance). Oversaw the evolution of the ground software from Solaris to Linux, to integrate with a different COTS core, and, in some areas, from C/C++ to Java. Managed the development of all ground software releases, overseeing more than 15 software engineers.
