Mid-career engineer involved in satellite research and development. Electrical engineer, computer science, and aerospace engineering expertise has been applied primarily to the Europa Clipper and Electron Losses and Fields Investigation (ELFIN) missions. For Europa, worst case analyses helped identify appropriate data bus topology needed to maintain integrity, and firmware development has enabled interface testing. For ELFIN, the main payload comprised of silicon energetic particle detectors were tested and supporting electronics and firmware were developed to fit within a 1U volume inside a 3U CubeSat.
