I am an expert in applying modeling to dynamic geologic systems, to understand the properties and processes affecting planetary surfaces. During my time as a graduate student at Pennsylvania State Univesity, I studied the interaction of radar with planetary surfaces and how magma intrusions and lava eruptions affect the shapes of a planetary surfaces. At APL, I have studied MESSENGER images of the planet Mercury to help to under the planet's low-reflectance materials, and orbital lunar radar images to help to understand characteristics of the Moon's surface.
