During the 2013-14 academic school year a full evaluation of the Maryland MESA program was conducted by the Center for Research and Reform in Education (CRRE) at the Johns Hopkins University School of Education. Data for this third-party study was collected in a hybrid format, with online surveys and on-site evaluations of Maryland MESA participants.
Results from the study linked participation in the Maryland MESA program to higher STEM course registration and career interest. Additionally, the study suggested that participation in Maryland MESA was linked to improved student achievement. Read the full study.
